DDoS Detection and Network Security Software
Attacks on your network can happen at any time. They can come from the outside in the form of a DDoS attack, or maybe even from the inside if one of your systems has become infected with a Trojan or other similar malicious software.
HOW CAN YOU DETECT AND STOP THESE ATTACKS FROM HAPPENING?
The first line of defense in the fight for your network is to implement advanced DDoS detection software. These tools will watch your network traffic 24x7x365 and automatically diagnose and alert you on any “bad” traffic. How does this work? By utilizing NetFlow or other Flow based traffic analysis, intelligent systems can immediately identify traffic that fits the profile of a DDoS attack or other similar malicious traffic.
Once that traffic has been identified, another automated procedure begins to look at the details of the traffic in more depth to identify the major components like Source IP address, TCP/UDP ports being used and how many different ports are being hit, how long this “bad” traffic has been seen on the network and so forth. All of that critical diagnostic information is then rolled up into an easy to see and clickable interface which enables a network engineer to further investigate and take action on the data they see.
